Bringing the project to a close. Posted on 2014-03-12 at 00:00:00
This is the last page that I'll be completing for this comic. I'd announce an 'indefinite-hiatus', but anyone who is familiar with webcomic-speak knows what that really means - it means the project is very likely not coming back. That holds here too. I'd much rather give closure.
As many of you know I've struggled with health concerns, mentally and physically, and it's made it very difficult to complete pages and stick to a schedule, so I've decided it's best to just end the project here. I know a lot of people were loving this story, and it makes me sad to let it go too, but that's just how it is. In the webcomic world success and maintaining readership is less about art and story quality and more about the consistency and frequency of updates, and while I can provide the first two I can't keep up with the rest, so I'm taking this as a sign that this project just isn't sustainable like it used to be.
I'd love to pick Uncreation up again in the future - it's fully scripted after all, I love the characters and universe, the future chapters get into some totally wild territory, and frankly, there's nothing else like this online - but the longer I go without visiting it the harder it gets, particularly as the gulf in quality between my 2010-2012 artwork and whatever I'm doing at the time of reading grows and grows. Please do not to expect more Uncreation outside of the occasional piece of miscellaneous artwork I might post - there will be no more story-related pages.
I'm still actively drawing though, so if you like my art and crazy ideas you can continue to follow me here on tumblr and pixiv:
